A series of vintage posters printed in France between 1940 and 1970 as part of a French Arabic production. The films were produced to be released in French cinemas and French speaking countries in North Africa (Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco…), French Africa, Syria and Lebanon. They were dubbed in Arabic, with French subtitles.
PLOT summary: Ghazlan is a Bedouin girl living with a tribe. She falls in love with one of the tribe’s knights. But the love story faces trouble, and there many challenges and obstacles in order for love to triumph.
Samira Ghastin Karimona (Arabic: سميرة غسطين كريمونة; born 1935), better known by her stage name Samira Tewfik (Arabic: سميرة توفيق) is a Lebanese singer who gained fame in the Arab world for her specialising in singing in the Bedouin dialect of Jordan. She has also acted in a number of Arab films.
Mahmoud Said’s deep voice is instantly recognisable and his talent has made him the undisputed star of scores of television and radio series. The star of Fares and Nujud was especially famous among Lebanese and Arab television audiences in the 1970s. Mahmoud Said was born in the Palestinian city of Jaffa in 1941.
