Synopsis

Abu Muhammad Abd Allah Ibn Qutayba ( 828-889), both a theologian and a writer of Adl. He devoted himself to the teaching of his works in a district of Baghdad where he remained until his death. This work is considered the most important theological work he wrote in which are clearly set out his religious, heresiographical and political ideas. It was edited and published for the first time at Cairo in 1908 by Fardj Allah Zaki al-Kurdi and Mahmud Shukri al-Alusi. This is the first translation into a European language.
