Volume I: 400 pp., b/w plates/ Volume II: 418 pp., [2], Arabic text, modern hard back binding, preserved original wrappers preserved in Arabic and French, lightly soiled with remainder of small sticker on title pages, occasional foxing in volume II, few marginal pencil markings, otherwise set is in good condition, Matba’at al-Risala, Cairo, 1938.

Zaki Mubarak was the literary editor of "Al-Balagh" newspaper (1923) and went further to undertake the task of editor-in-chief of "Al-Afkar" newspaper. Zaki Mubarak had yielded many literary articles in the "Arab Association" magazine, and wrote in "Al-Resala" magazine, which was at that time the most famous literary magazine. He also taught Islamic Sufism as a subject in the Arabic and philosophy departments at the Egyptian University.
