Antoun Saadeh, Shahadat Al-Soura 1904-1949

This book is a photographic biography and a record of the available images taken of Antoun Saadeh (1904 – 1949), the founder of the Syrian Social Nationalist. The book is structured to cover the following phases of Saadeh’s life: childhood; emigration to Brazil; return to the homeland and founding of the party; travels to Europe, Brazil, and Argentina; return to the homeland via Brazil and Cairo; the arrest warrant and its subsequent
cancellation; activities during 1947-1948; activities in his final year, 1949; and finally, his execution. The last chapter features a collection of personal photographs taken at different stages of Saadeh’s short life. This is a Heavy Book and stored at our warehouse outside the UK.
