Synopsis

It was in the year 1820, that the author started to put the outline of this study because “ There remained some of Islam’s most important features of the wholly unexplained”. The study starts with a detailed introduction of Islam, with historical, moral and ritual analogy of Mahometanism with Judaism and Christianity. Another analogy of the Qur’an with the Bible is also given .
The author discusses also the Crusaders wars, with analogy between Christianity and Mahometanism in their influences on national characters and civilisation; on industry, manufacture and commerce.
