Eugène Jung (1863-1936) was vice-resident of France in Tonkin (in 1895). He published several articles on colonial policy and the Eastern question as well as books on Islam.
This work is a stimulating discussion of the revival of nationalism in the Near East. The Arab Revolt or the Great Arab Revolt was a military uprising of Arab forces against the Ottoman Empire in the Middle Eastern theatre of World War I.
