Synopsis

This is an account of Dr. Grant’s work among the Nestorians. Thomas Laurie himself spent 2 or 3 years in Persia and left Mosul in 1844 after Grant’s death when the Mission was suspended. His work also contains interesting accounts of political activity among the Kurds, the Turks, and the Nestorians. He later wrote Mount Lebanon in 1869 and Bible Illustrations in 1870.
