Synopsis

An account of a journey to Syria and Holy Land by the Italian traveller Giovanni Falloni. The author started his journey in February 1826, he landed in Alexandria, later travelled to Jaffa, Ramlah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nablus, Mount Carmel, the Galilee, Baalbeck and Beirut. The work is illustrated with two folded maps representing the plan of the old and new Jerusalem and the plan of the great Temple (“Piano dell’antica e nuova Gerusalemme” and “Pianta del Gran Tempio”).
