Synopsis

Before Carl Johan Tornberg publication of the Qur’an in 1875, this part of the Qur’an was published in 1814. It was based on the English version translated by George Sale in 1734. Accordingly this work is considered to be the first publication of part of the Qur’an in Swedish.
