Synopsis

Weyers [Weijers], Hendrik Engelinus, (1805 – 1844), was a pupil of H. A. Hamaker, whom he succeeded in 1837 as a professor in the Eastern Languages ​​at the University of Leiden, after he had already become an extraordinary professor in 1833.
He also wrote New proof to express all the Arabic letters and further writing characters by the ordinary European character (1840) and the cataloguing of Eastern manuscripts (1841).
