Synopsis

The Ayyubids dynasty ruled large parts of the Middle East including greater Syria, Mesopotamia, Hijaz, Nubia and part of the Maghrib during the 12th and 13th centuries. It was founded by Salah al-Din in Egypt. This work is written by a Syrian historian about the circumstances of Damascus during the Ayyubid period.
