Nawab Muhammad Siddiq Khan, the Muslim Indian scholar, summarises in this work three major linguistic volumes, “al-Mizhr fi ‘Ulum al-Lugha” by as-Suyuti, and “Kashf al-Zunin ‘an ‘Asami al-Kutub wal Funun” by Hajji Khalifa, and ‘al-‘Itqan fi ‘Ulum al- Qur’an” also by As-Suyuti, together with additions from several other linguistic books.
