Each photogravure mounted within gilt-printed mat boards and accompanied with explanatory text on facing page in Latin, Italian, English, French and German, indices, volume 2 with weak spine, shelf label at top spines, 2 small stamps on front fly leaves, light foxing to endpapers, otherwise both images and text well preserved and in very good condition, Gualassini e Bertarelli, Milan, first edition, 1893.
