Synopsis

Munzer Kam Nakche, a Syrian artist, was born in Damascus in 1935 and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture at the University of Damascus in 1968. He obtained the Higher Diploma for Art in Paris in 1976 to be appointed as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus. He died in Geneva after an illness in 2019.
He was considered one of the Syrian artists who contributed to the renaissance of the Syrian plastic movement and possessed a distinctive style of sculpting and photography.
This catalogue was published for his retrospective exhibition in September 2018 at the that National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus. The exhibition included works from several stages of his long artistic experience comprising paintings, drawings and sculptures.
