First edition of the considerably enlarged Dutch translation of Thomas Salmon’s description of the people in the Turkish Empire, Asia and Africa, with new illustrations and Isaac Tirion’s detailed maps, which would later be published in his popular hand-atlas.
Thomas Salmon (1679–1767) was an English history and geography writer. He accompanied George Anson on his voyage round the world.
