Synopsis
First edition of the first historical work of Michaud (best known as the author of the main story of the Crusades of the nineteenth century ) constituting a lively account of the war between the British and the Indians of Tippoo Sahib, based on the book of the Beatson , ” A view of the origin and conduct of the war with Tippoo Sultan ” ( London , 1800 ), but supplemented with new sources and documents. Tippu or Tippoo Sahib , the son of Haider Ali, was the Rajah of Mysore from 178. He continued the military campaigns of his father against the British, until he was finally defeated and killed at Seringapatam .
