Synopsis

A historical and archaeological study of the mosque of Amr Ibn Al-As since its foundation up till 1939. The author describe its condition, enlargements and repair it had undergone, as well as the new elements brought to light regarding its ornaments, entrances, windows, the arrangement of its riwaks and sahn. All these facts have enabled the author to draw a scheme for the mosque during the period of its greatest splendour and glory.
