Synopsis

The author was a Jesuit priest from Lyon who lived in Egypt from 1883 until his death in 1911, serving as rector at the Collège de la Sainte-famille in Cairo, and also in Alexandria. He was mainly interested in recording botany, plants mentioned in the Bible, and the legends of the Copts. He’s best known for his book “L’Égypte, Souvenirs Bibliques Et Chrétiens”.
