Synopsis

This book constitutes a general study of the Arabian Peninsula. It offers a fundamental documentation, far from the all the subjective approaches to oil issues. It starts with the Arabic sub continent as an “Asian Africa” through the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Yemen and last to “The Britannic Arabia”.
Then the Saudi state is extensively studied starting with the first Saudi state, followed by the creation of Saudi Arabia in the 20th Century and the economical revolution of the desert with the birth of the Aramco and chronologically from the Saudi-Yemeni conflict to the ascension of King Saud.
