Synopsis

The integration of Armenians into their adopted homelands, in many countries of the Middle East, has gone through several stages, sometimes painful, whose memory tends to fade. Before becoming Lebanese or Syrian citizens, they lived the experience of any uprooted refugee, in search of a host country, where they could find the environment conducive to reconstruction. This book tries to revive this experience through a dozen articles based on unpublished archival documents, illustrated by an abundant photographic documentation.
