Synopsis

Apparently first and only edition of this account of three separate journeys to Constantinople in 1863, to Egypt, Jerusalem and Athens in 1864, and to Egypt and the Holy Land in 1866. The folding plates include plans of Athens, Jerusalem, Constantinople, Alexandria and Cairo. Von Haller is connected with the statesman Karl Ludwig von Haller (1768-1854).
