Synopsis

Michael Russell, a British clergy and a voluminous author. For many years he was a contributor to the “Encyclopedia Metropolitana”. He published several books on North Africa, Egypt, Nubia, and the Holy Land.
An account of the constitution, the antiquities, the religion, and the literature of the Hebrews, with a narrative of their history in the Holy Land. It contains rich topographical description of the Holy Land, drawn from the works of numerous travellers and pilgrims, and a chapter on the land’s natural history in relation to the Scriptures.
