Synopsis

Arthur Rimbaud (1854-91), a rebellious French Poet who in 1875 abandoned living in France, and traveled to Yemen and Ethiopia. He lived in Aden and later at Harar, working as a trader and traveling as explorer. He was involved in gun running, slave trading, all of which ceased with the discovery of his knee tumor; he returned to France for amputation and soon after died.
This work records by photographs Rimbaud’s life between Aden, Djibouti, Obock, Boubassa, and Harra in Ethiopia. It contains photographs taken by Rimbaud during his travels in east Africa.
