Synopsis

An interesting account of travels through the mountains of the Nusairis, where at that time still lived descendants of the Isma’ili sect of Naziris or Assassins which flourished in the 11-13th centuries. The lithographed portrait is printed on rice paper, the two frontispieces are steel engravings of Rebecca’s well at Haran, and the birth place of Abraham.
