Synopsis

A biography of Sir Percy Cox (1864-1937), who played a major role in shaping the political situation in Iraq, Arabia and the Gulf. Cox held the position of Chief Political Officer in Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force 1914-1918. He was also the first High Commissioner in Iraq 1920-1924. Previous to that he held the position of Political Agent and Consul at Muscat 1899-1904, and Resident and Consul General, at the Arab Gulf 1918-1920.
