Synopsis

Account of a journey made in Winter 1857 to Egypt. The author left Marseilles for Alexandria, travelling to Cairo, continuing his journey on the Nile to the Cataracts, Luxor, Karnak, Memphis, the Pyramids, returning to Cairo he visited the Harem of the Viceroy.
